BE PRESENT

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐗𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐞... 𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐭?
Who knows what 2021 will bring up, future seems unpredictable but we're here now and we find everyday new ways to resist and to stay as much anchored to our present as possible.

In this differently festive mixtape we've gathered the songs we feel the most in tune with our current moods.

Quaint Ash has payed tribute to one of his all time fav artists, Stevie Wonder: his version is sheer elegance and brings up so many childhood memories. My dad and I used to listen to his records a lot back then!

True Sleeper and I went down the experimental road, as we reinterpreted the classic (amazing) Nancy Sinatra song 'These Boots Are Made For Walking', trying to draw out the psycho soul of the track; I basically forced Marco to slow it down, put some madchester chords on, so I could sing a brand new melody then... well, you'll listen! He's the sweetest guy, letting me break all the rules, with the result that he has to fix and take care of it all. He played, recorded and mixed all in one session and I'm such a lucky spoiled girl, I know.

Gommalacca is our crazy best kept secret! He's someone very well-known within our LS crew and he chose to cover the national pop anthem to capitalism: Material Girl by Madonna. Let your ears be sucked in the vortex of his Residents/electropop rendition.
Don't be ashamed of your desire for material things and objects, well, ehm... unless you become an object yourself!

Dull Company Myself honors Kate Bush, which embodies for him 'the ideal concept of ethereal perfection in music'. Actually 'Cloudbusting' is the best song to symbolize what deep exploration and daydreaming may push you to achieve! Let your inner child speak in colorful and unusual tones.

It's time for our bedroom popstars to get the mic! It's La Naissance covering 'Celestica' by Crystal Castles: your heart's gonna melt through the tenderness of voices and guitars. It's pure perfection!

To conclude, I enclose the linear's notes of Black Tail's 'Angel in the Snow' by Elliot Smith. I think Cristiano and his band has been so on point in sharing their feelings when recording the song:

My wish for you this year is to keep on being grounded and strong as a rock in the sea of events, no matter how high the waves come crushing on you.
